Believe.
Santa, Jesus, and Ted Lasso
With the World Cup just ending and this season where Hallmark movies are reminding of the power of belief. The world slows for a burning light of belief for eight crazy nights and the provision of a Holy God for His people, the arrival of Reindeer on rooftops in hope arriving among donkeys and dung Bethlehem.
Belief is a funny thing. We cheer for our favorite teams that never seem to win. Yet we still believe. We buy oils that are essential. At least the place smells nice. Yet when it comes to our own potential we just can’t believe. Which is why you better find people who believe. Don’t ruin belief for someone else just cause you got coal in your stocking.
Most of my work these days is helping people believe in their God given callings. (that sentence will hurt your head if you dwell on it) You see I can’t help anyone that doesn’t believe. Leaders, Creators, and Entrepreneurs are those that believed when no one else did. Believing when no one else does is hard.
When you sign up for this journey you become an advocate for belief. You have to get customers to believe in you and your vision. People that believe enough to buy, show up, or act. You have to get those closest to you to believe WITH you. But before any of that, you have to believe.
I can believe IN you but I can’t believe FOR you. I mean Ted Lasso even said, “I believe in believe.” Ted’s right without belief we are nothing. Even today I heard from a leader who almost believes. Belief isn’t safe, it will cost you everything.
Jesus, Santa, Ted Lasso are all coming to town and whether you believe in them or not only affects your joy. That’s the beauty of truth absent of your belief its still the truth.
Believe, even if no one else believes in you. I believe and I’m already here! Don’t let those that don’t believe keep you from believing.
